Random Number?

Quick note, maybe someone who knows can help us out.

The Senate minutes as of late have a marginal note, "AN-77-1004" for example. Looks like a serial number of sorts. Any idea what the AN stands for?

The serial number looks like a great idea to help find stuff faster.

  1. Where can we get the Senate minutes anyways? I can only get the audio off the ASUN website, and those are incomplete.

  2. If you go to Senate > Meetings > View Meeting Archive, or go to this link https://asun.unr.edu/government/meetings/MeetingArchive.aspx you can see which meetings have minutes. When there are minutes, a link for "Minutes" appears. Sometimes it doesn't seem to work, so you have to select each meeting to be sure Minutes are not posted.

  3. Nevermind, I found them. However, I immediately noticed that in the May 6th minutes (I was naturally curious) there is an entire omission of my public comments that spoke against the use of "religious circumstances" in the Millennium Scholarship bill and the influence of the executive branch on the senate. My fault or no?

  5. Ahh! I knew you were going to say that.

Ironically though, all of my other comments were recorded.

Do need to speak in a thick Mancunian accent?

  6. No you just needs to speak clearly. There are free speech lessons at schools. Not being harsh but you definentally do need to do something if you want to be taken seriously, whether or not you have any control over it, it would help you tremedously to just practice speaking alot. Accent aside I think you know you have a problem with speaking. I enourage you to get some help.

  7. Eric,

The Open Meeting Law states that the remarks made by a member of the public when addressing the body only need to be reflected when a person asks that they be (NRS 241.035(1)(d)). However, it is usually a good practice for the minutes to reflect relevant remarks made just so the Senate has a clear and complete record of what was discussed at the meeting.
