Congrats Sen. Neely!

In all the craziness of groupthink and advisors helping the Senate to violate State and Federal law, we forgot to congratulate the newest Senator from the College of Liberal Arts!

Congratulations Senator Jacob Neely!

We have high hopes for you!

  1. I was severely disappointed that he had to be reminded there was an oath of office.

  2. That fact is even worse considering we informed him in advance of that fact.

"The candidate who is duly selected will then be administered the oath of office, as is required by the Constitution and the ASUN law. After taking the oath, you will be a member of the 77th Session of the ASUN Senate."

But we wouldn't want the senators to be well informed just because we're anonymous.

  3. "We advised the candidates of their rights under the Senate's Rules and the Nevada Open Meeting Law. We did not give any advice as to whether a candidate should stay in the room, only that the Senate could not require them to leave the room."
